Types of Data

Information extraction is the task of finding structured information from unstructured or semi-structured text. The extracted information is helping in constructing knowledge bases, search systems, and database management systems.

Named entity recognition is a type of information extraction which is the task of identifying nouns in the text and classifying them according to some categories like organization(ORG), person(PER), location(LOC) or others. It is also considered as one of the challenging problems in Natural Language Processing.
