Forest Love

I love the Forest. There is something ethereal, other worldly and fantastical about visiting tree families that are much older than most of the humans you know. Trees sustain each other. Did you know that? We are discovering more about how tree populations actively support each other through illness.

Forests have often been depicted as frightening places. Places that the chased run in to in horror films and places that the mob films bury their dead. I don’t find it like this at all. I find it peaceful, loving and fluttering with life.

When you first enter on a cool, damp autumn day it’s quiet save the drip of waiting water from leaves and the snuffling of my dog. As you pause however you will start to hear the sounds of caution overcome. Birds, small animals (and some larger ones in my local), tree branches and leaves all starting to move again once decided your presence is good natured. I can almost see the tree sprites, faeries and Ent peeking out at me from their lofty vantage points.

The Forest heals me in a way I can’t really describe. It’s wisdom and life giving purpose holds space for you. It’s profound in its welcome if you let it.

My aim is to reach people who may find opportunity for wellness through the sharing of these experiences and to lift the lid off the darkness of mental ill health.
