The film that changed my way of seeing life

In this story, Michel is a famous writer and speaker, he is in an existential crisis. For him, all the people have the same face and speak with the same voice, even men and women.

Michel travels to Cincinnati to give a conference. In the hotel he listens a voice clearly different to all the other voices, so he knocks the door of different rooms until he finds her, is Lisa with her friend Emily. Lisa has a different voice, but also has a different face. To resume Michel ends in his room with Lisa, she doesn't like her self, because things that she’s ugly and not clever, but Michel sees a unique person. They end in the bed, having sex and sleeping together. The next morning in the breakfast, Michel is horrified, the special voice of Lisa becomes the voice that have all the other people.

Finally, Michel returns to his home, after the disappointment of Lisa, and his wife, his son and his friends receive it. Michel can’t differentiate about all of they, his wife seems to be the same that his son, and he doesn’t know who are all of that people that they call “his friends”.

Michael realizes that he is in a homogenous life and he cannot avoid that.

In this society we are all the same, we all belong to social groups and though we think that we are specials and different we are all acting the same way. The differenced situations and scenarios submit us to act in only a few options. For this reason, when we are older it is very difficult to impress us, we have already seen all the different options for a lot of situations.

The key to deal with this is connexion, with this tool we can find people that make us feel comfortable. They are probably similar to another boy or girl that we have meet in the past, but when connexion is in the relationship, we are in the “safety zone” where we can be ourselves.
