6 Traits of Cats

My cats do some pretty weird things, but they are too cute for me to care

I have two very different cats. One will follow me around, always begging for food whenever I walk by her food bowl. Her name is Chardonnay, and she is very determined to be as fat as possible. She eats more than Colin and still always wants more. We have taken her to the vet, and she is a good weight and healthy. She is just very food motivated and lives for only food, basically.

There was a time when my boyfriend had pepperoni sticks, and he put them way up on the dresser where she had never gone before. She got up there and ate like three pepperoni sticks. We were working the weight off for weeks to follow, it seemed. We learned from then on food always needs to be cat-proofed.

The other cat Colin, will always drag toys around for me to play with him. I am pretty sure he would continue to play all day non-stop if I didn’t stop him. I usually play with them in the morning before they eat and the same at dinner time. I play with them for ten to fifteen minutes. Chardonnay gets bored after five usually, but Colin will chase anything that I throw around for him.

Colin loves walking and rubbing himself against everything. We have actually bought a couple of wall brushes to brush himself since he enjoys it so much. He does not like to lay down in laps or being held but will walk around in circles for attention over and over again.

My cats both love climbing in the Christmas tree. They think it is just for them. It isn’t, but they look so cute who could ever say no. We have to be careful, but we only put it up for about two weeks, then it came down. They had enough holiday time. It was the day after Christmas. We took it down so they would stop destroying it. To be honest, it is destroyed somewhat, but at the same time, it would just happen to the next one, so why get a new one.
