So first of all if you were to sum up 2020 so far in one word what would it be? I’ll give you time to think….

Okay!

For me I would say ‘interesting’ As of right now we are currently going through the Coronavirus crisis and on top of that i’m sure you guy’s are going through some things yourself. In the last 9 minutes today’s statistics shows 733,378 people worldwide have tested positive, 151,789 have recovered and 34,794 have died from COVID 19.

If I were to refresh these stats the numbers would definitely change. It’s no surprise to see, but I wonder what the current stats would be overall in terms of deaths, with or without the Coronavirus. It would definitely be 10x more than the current stat that’s for sure.

And so we go to the art of serving, what are you doing during this time of quarantine? Our friend Boris has called for the UK to be on lockdown for the next 3 weeks, but if I’m being honest, I think it’s going to be at least 3 months or longer. I mean look how long it took for the Brexit saga to finish, either way I see this as an opportunity to build some good habits going forward, habits that I believe can take us out of our comfort zone.

So….

When was the last time you encouraged someone?

When was the last time you offered to help?

What’s your devotion to God like / prayer life saying?

This to me is the most important question, because without this we won’t be able to get any guidance in terms of serving effectively especially in a way that honours God.

Men, especially the single men when was the last time you contacted a brother and just talked about emotional stuff? Being vulnerable? Plus praying for one another?

This doesn’t make you a waste man. If anything you’re opening yourself up for more help and that is a good thing. Now don’t get me wrong, of course there needs to be some level of trust first before we can open up on our personal issues. Over all, women do this better than we do, they have their own little quirk. We have our own too but do we use it enough?

After this crisis dies down are we going to go back to our selfish lives? The amount of times I’ve done this has been countless.

And my last question is in terms of serving, are you doing these things already? If yes, are you doing it only because of the current crisis we’re in and we have no choice or before the crisis kicked off?

I’ve asked myself these questions numerous of times and I always find myself sweating.

Hmmmmm.

Welp!

Praise God! We have someone who can do all of these things — His name is Jesus The author and finisher of the faith. The Universal King who is bigger than the Coronavirus. We don’t know why this is happening but if this draws us closer to Christ… Well then To God be the Glory!

My condolences to those who didn’t survive the virus. I also lift up those who are battling with it now.

Stay strong. Stay healthy. Keep in contact with your loved one’s so that way your loved one’s can start thinking of ways to serve you.
